 CODE OF CONDUCT

The Essence of Healing is committed to the highest standards of instruction and ethical integrity. We acknowledge that respect for he student and others is the foundation of irreproachable excellence. As such, we set out to cultivate an environment of mutual respect and responsibility. Whether we are students, or the teacher, we have a right to be in a safe environment, free of disturbance in all aspects of human relations.

As part of its mission for maintaining ethical integrity, the Essence of Healing established this Code of Student Conduct for the protection of all students.

This Code of Conduct serves to advise students of their responsibilities as members of any or all training classes.

It also serves to provide students with the opportunities to resolve disputes in a cooperative and non-adversarial manner; to facilitate informed participation in the conduct process; and to increase awareness of and respect for differences of culture, gender, religion, race, sexual orientation, gender identity, and ability.

The Essence of Healing has an obligation to conduct its affairs in an orderly and efficient manner. Actions by individuals or groups that interfere with the orderly functions or threaten health or safety, will not be tolerated. In advising the student of the conduct system, the rights and responsibilities of the individual are considered concurrently with rights and responsibilities. Unacceptable behaviour is defined and the consequences of such behaviour explained.

1. Purpose

The purpose for the Standards of Student Conduct regulations is to:

a) maintain and protect the teaching and integrity of each class.

b) regulate the conduct of students within the learning environment and who are using the facilities and services or participating in activities or assessment sessions.

2. Student  Misconduct

If a student makes false representations on any matter in his or her capacity as a student or knowingly engages in conduct that involves a risk of physical or psychological injury to the teacher, another student or to any other person involved in the training it will mean immediate cancellation of their course or workshop without any refund of monies paid.

3. Address for notice

Notifications to a student for the purpose of highlighting these Regulations is sufficient if it is in writing and is emailed or posted by registered mail to the student’s nominated email account or registered address.

A notice is deemed to have been received if sent by email, 24 hours after the time it was sent by the Essence of Healing or 48 hours if posted by registered mail.

4. Complaints

Although a person submitting a complaint is not required to provide any personal information, we HIGHLY recommend that a student provides, at a minimum, an email address where they can be contacted. This is especially important if there are followup questions or responses that may be important or necessary. If the complainant fails to provide any identifying or contact information, it may limit the Essence of Healing ability to look into or fully respond to a situation.
